SHREVEPORT: The RBM-CookYancey trivia team (aka: "The Answering Machine") took first prize at the THIRD-ANNUAL ADVOCARE V100 INDEPENDENCE BOWL TRIVIA NIGHT sponsored by the Independence Bowl Foundation. The event was held Friday night at the Independence Stadium's club level. The night included dinner provided by PieWorks Pizza and trivia questions with categories ranging from COLLEGE SPORTS to HISTORY, ENTERTAINMENT, LAGNIAPPE and AROUND THE STATE. Members of the winning team included: Scotty & Lesley Amos (RBM), Kyle & Molly McInnis (CookYancey), Harry McInnis, Jason Nichols (CookYancey) and Scott & Kori Shurley. The winning team took home a prize package totalling more than $1,250, including 16 Premium Chairback seats to the 2009 AdvoCare V100 Indpendence Bowl to be played on December 28th at 4pm on ESPN, Round-trip Shuttle tickets to and from the game, and tickets to the Independence Bowl Foundation Member Tailgate Party. In addition to the first place prize package, Lesley Amos also won a door prize - a Waterford Crystal baseball donated by Lee Michael's Fine Jewelry commemorating the 2009 LSU College World Series victory. This was the team's second year to compete in the event.
