Shreveport, LA - Scotty Amos, CPA and partner with RBM LLP, was recently honored by the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce with the presentation of the VIVA (Very Important Volunteer Award) for his outstanding service to the Chamber. VIVA awards are given to volunteers who do something extraordinary beyond their usual work or who make an outstanding contribution of some kind. It is a spontaneous award based on the recommendations of staff or other volunteers. The award was presented at the Breakfast of Champions held on August 18, 2009 at Sci-Port Discovery Center.
Scotty is the proud husband of Lesley Amos (f/k/a: Lesley Booty) and the father of Reagan Elizabeth Amos, the couple's four year old daughter, and David Ray Amos, their five month old son. In addition to his responsibilities to his family and church, Scotty is very active in the Shreveport-Bossier community and especially with the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. Scotty is a graduate of the 2007 Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program where he served as the Junior Coordinator for 2008 class, and currently serves as the program's Senior Coordinator. He will serve as the Chairperson for the 2010 class. Scotty is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors, and co-chair of the newly formed membership subcommittee.
